ORLANDO, FL, Sept. 22, 2011—As part of its mission to proclaim the good news of the Kingdom of God, the Church of God, a Worldwide Association, has released its third web booklet, titled Welcome to the Church of God, a Worldwide Association.
This web booklet answers questions such as:
- What is the Church of God, a Worldwide Association, like?
- What is its history?
- What is its mission?
- What are its beliefs and how are they demonstrated?
The booklet is beautifully illustrated with photos of Church of God, a Worldwide Association, members and families. Along with church services, the photos also illustrate some of the additional educational and social opportunities provided by the Church, including youth camps for teens, challenger programs and international service projects for young adults, family weekends with seminars and sports, and social events.
Welcome to the Church of God, a Worldwide Association was written by David Treybig, a long-time pastor and writer for the Church of God. Cecil Maranville, who coordinates answering letters from readers, also contributed to writing this booklet.
The booklet concludes with these words of welcome: “What visitors will find are friendly congregations where God’s instructions and way of life are gladly shared without coercion in any way. If we can assist you in your spiritual growth and understanding of the authentic Christianity of the Bible, we will be delighted to do so! Please contact us if we may be of help. We look forward to hearing from you!”
This web booklet is the third of several planned publications covering biblical and spiritual subjects. It is currently available in a user-friendly reader format, as well as a PDF for downloading. Additional formats will be added in the future. You can find Welcome to the Church of God, a Worldwide Association and the other booklets at http://cogwa.org/guidance/booklets.
